Picea, or Spruce, is a genus of around 35 species of coniferous evergreen trees in the Pinaceae family. They are native to northen temeprate and boreal areas of the world. The oldest known living tree is claimed to be a Spruce.
Picea are characterised by their rigid, needle-like leaves and narrow cones. They are low maintenance, easy to grow and fully hardy.
