Malus

History and Origin:

Malus is a genus of between 30-50 species within the Rosaceae family, native to temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere. They are commonly known as the common ‘apple’ or ‘crab apple’. The apple tree is perhaps the most mythical of all trees. Long before Christianity, the apple tree signified immortality and eternal life.

About:

Malus are small or medium-sized deciduous trees that display an abundance of delicate but showy flowers during the spring, with delicious ornamental or edible fruit during the autumn.
