History and Origin:

Leucanthemum is a genus of flowering plants within the Asteraceae family, native to South and central Europe. They are commonly known as the ‘Shasta daisy’. The genus derives from the Greek words ‘ leukos’ meaning ‘white’ and ‘anthemon’ meaning ‘flower’.

Leucanthemum are herbaceous, perennial plants. Dark compact foliage nestles amongst stately stems and large daisy-like flower heads, presenting a prolonged period of beauty and colour throughout summer into autumn.
