Hydrocotyle

History and Origin:

Hydrocotyle is a genus of around 75-100 species of perennial aquatic or semi-aquatic plants within the family Araliaceae. They are more commonly known as water pennywort, Indian pennywort, marsh penny, thick-leaved pennywort or white rot. Hydrocotyle are often found growing in wet areas in the wild such as near ponds, lakes, rivers and marshes.
