Hardenbergia

History and Origin:

Hardenbergia is a genus of vine within the Fabaceae family, native to Australia. They are commonly known as the ‘Lilac Vine’. The genus was named by English botanist, George Bentham in 1837 in honour of Franziska, Countess von Hardenberg.

Hardenbergia are climbing evergreen perennials with gorgeous ovate foliage and small, pea-like flowers that flourish throughout spring and summer.
