Chamaecyparis is a genus of six species of conifer trees native to eastern Asia and the western and eastern margins of North America. They are more commonly known as cypress or false cypress.
Chamaecyparis are evergreen conifer trees that usually grow in a column, or narrow oval shape. They are ideal for adding some low-maintenance architectural interest to a garden.
