Begonia ‘Majestic Red’ is brim full of eye-catching scarlet shades. The frilly, ruffled, almost spherical double flowers can reach up to 10cm or more in diameter so will not go unnoticed in your baskets, window boxes and pots from June to the first frosts. Alongside the flowers, Begonia ‘Majestic Red’ has beautifully marked, dark green foliage (with a dark reddish tinge) which is held from March through to October.
Flowers are amongst the largest of all begonias and deadheading for continual blooms is an easy task due to their generous size. The colour is dependable and lasts right through the duration of each bloom – a great way to jazz up baskets and containers in either a sunny spot or a shady corner of the garden. Furthermore, these versatile plants will cascade and trail up to 30cm for a waterfall of colour.
Begonias are tender, cormous perennials, frequently grown as annuals. They reach a height and spread of around 45cm.
