Garden Inspiration
Tell Me More...
Begonia ‘Majestic Sunburst’ is a real sight to behold. With colours that are reminiscent of tropical sunsets on exotic beaches these large and luminous blooms seem to radiate heat out into the garden. Ruffled pom-pom flowers are borne from June to November and can measure up to an impressive 20cm in diameter. Foliage appears in March and remains until November – with interesting, crinkled edges and marked veins on greenish red, generous leaves which are also an eye-catching sight. Begonia ‘Majestic Sunburst’ are a popular way to enhance your window boxes, baskets and containers as blooms will trail and cascade over edges for up to 30cm. Plants are equally at home in either a sunny spot or a shady corner of the garden, allowing you to turn up the colour volume to full blast. They prefer a moist, well-drained soil which is loam or sand based.Begonias are tender, cormous perennials and are frequently grown as annual bedding plants. They will reach a height and spread of around 45cm. If you wish to overwinter plants, lift and dry store them once temperatures consistently drop below around 1°C and then plant again the following spring.
