Tell Me More...
Petunia ‘Tumbelina Double Nicola’ offers generous, ruffled blooms with an alluringly rich, plum pink cluster of petals to its centre which fans out to form purple, pink edged blooms with contrasting white hearts. Perfect for planting in baskets, containers and window boxes where they will produce eye-catching mounds of sweetly perfumed blooms from June to October. As a relatively compact petunia – both foliage and flowers remain neat throughout the season and have been bred to withstand heavy rainfall without the flowers being damaged. Petunias are, generally, tender (H2) perennials originating from South America. In frost-prone regions, such as the UK, they are most often grown as annuals. Regular deadheading will prolong flowering right through the season and allow you to get the most from these fantastic blooms. Petunia ‘Tumbelina Double Nicola’ prefers a spot in well-drained soil which is either loam or sand based. Plant in full sun or partial shade with some shelter from strong winds and your drought tolerant plants will grow to a height and spread of 30-40cm, with a fabulous trailing habit of as much as 70cm.
