British bred Petunia Double Tumbelina Sophia is a recent addition to the Petunia family. This fantastic petunia will fill your summer baskets and containers, and flowers will smell as good as they look. Grow on their own as a specimen or mix with contrasting colours.Petunia Double Tumbelina Sophia offers large, double, soft mauve blooms which cover the bushy, trailing foliage from early summer until the first frosts along with a sweet and divine scent. Plant in baskets, window boxes and in tall containers where plants can effortlessly tumble over the edges for as much as 70cm. According to new age folklore, there is a belief Petunias will only thrive where there is optimistic energy. In the language of flowers, Petunias symbolise being comfortable with one another. Petunia Double Tumbelina Sophia has an exceptionally long flowering period - from June to October- reaching a height and spread of approximately 30-40cm. Plants prefer moist, well-drained soil which is loam or sand. Plant in full sun or partial shade with a south or east facing aspect. A tender, annual bedding plant which is loved for its vigorous growth and colourful displays.
