Flowering abundantly for five months, from June right through until October. Calibrachoa ‘Can-Can Double White’ produces multitudes of soft, white, semi-double blooms, each with a hint of yellow at the centre. Flowers are small and bell-shaped, resembling a miniature version of botanical relative the petunia, and have another common name, ‘Million Bells’, because of this. Plants have a loose, neat appearance and a gently trailing habit to around 50cm. The Can-Can series is perfect for hanging baskets, containers, and window boxes with plants in this genus being ‘self-cleaning’, meaning they shed spent flowers voluntarily, thus negating the need to deadhead. Calibrachoa ‘Can-Can Double White’ prefer well-drained soil or compost of any kind in full sun or partial shade and mature to a height and spread of 30cm. As tender, evergreen perennials, they are usually treated as annuals in the UK. Alternatively, container grown plants may be overwintered in a frost-free environment for continued perennial growth the following spring (a cool greenhouse or conservatory is ideal).
