Tell Me More...
Exciting and unique! Antirrhinum Twinny Appleblossom is one of the first dwarf, double flowered snapdragon. Producing prolific clusters of large, sweetly scented double blooms with frilled petals which cover pretty foliage from June to October for up to 5 months of colour. Antirrhinum majus Twinny Appleblossom is oblivious to heat or rain and just perfect for containers or pride of place at the front of a sunny border. Also excellent as a cut flower for your home, lasting well in a vase or bouquet, these special plants are much loved by bees for their nectar-rich summer blooms. Amusingly, the Latin name 'antirrhinum' translates to mean 'like a snout' and is believed to refer to the seedpod looking rather like a calf's snout.Antirrhinum majus Twinny Appleblossom is and easy-going plant. It prefers to be planted in moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun and will reach a height of 30cm with a spread of 35cm. As a half-hardy perennial, plants can be protected over winter where appropriate or it can be grown as an annual.
