One of a series of 'giant' lupins, which tower to double the height of standard lupins. Lupinus 'West Country King Canute' brings tall, architectural spires of blue and white flowers to your summer planting. These mammoth cultivars are perfect for weaving throughout the mid to back of a border, where they provide unmissable vertical accents throughout June and July. What's more, the foliage of this cottage garden favourite is attractive in its own right; palmate and divided into narrow leaflets the verdant leaves emerge in March and are retained until October for lush impact. Lupins are particularly valuable as a source of nectar for pollinators, who are sure to visit each flower to feast on the nectar. They also make an inspiring cut flower and Lupinus 'West Country King Canute' will be sure to have a huge impact in vases and bouquets. Prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. A hardy, herbaceous perennial which reaches a height of up to 90cm with a spread of 75cm.
