Tell Me More...
The name Lupin derives from the Latin lupines meaning wolf as the 'peas' that appear after flowering were said to be fit only for the consumption of wolves. Like most members of they family, Lupins are very tolerant of poor soil and will actually add fertiliser back into the soil. Each spire is densely packed with blooms to form large flower heads up to 15cm (6) wide, Several flower heads will be produced in the first year, over lush attractive foliage. Excellent for cutting and attractive to bees. Deer and rabbit resistant. Fully hardy perennial.
