A pillar of vibrant blooms in summerAptly named, Weigela 'Tower of Flowers Cherry' is an unusual Weigela with a columnar habit which makes it perfect for creating a dramatic, living screen on a patio or balcony. Tough, reliable, and quick growing, a profusion of bright red-pink blooms open, extending all along the length of the stems creating an explosively colourful display in May and June to the delight of local pollinators. The new foliage emerges in spring, each leaf tinted with bronze hues which then turn to verdant green as they mature. Happiest when grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade, Weigela 'Tower of Flowers Cherry' will grow to a mature height of around 80cm, spreading to 90cm. A fully hardy vertical shrub with an RHS rating of H6 means no winter protection will be required.
