Tell Me More...
Statuesque, showy, elegantSculptural, tall, and imposing, yet simultaneously soft and delicate, we think Veronicastrum virginicum 'Album' is a 'must have' plant for the back of a border. Long, graceful, branched spires of pure white flowers add vertical accents from early summer well into autumn, and, if left on the plant, also provide valuable interest throughout winter. Leaves are attractive and unusual; dark bronze-green and lance shaped, arranged in whorls all the way up the stem. Originating from the wilds of North America, this tough, upright perennial fits perfectly into a naturalistic style, as well as a more formal, neat display. Rarely troubled by pests or diseases, veronicastrum can be relied upon to remain fresh, healthy, and strong throughout the growing season.Prefers moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist soil in full sun to partial shade. H&S: 1.5m x 90cm. Hardy perennial.
