Fantastic way to bring elegance and sophistication to your garden Curvaceous, plump wands are densely packed with a profusion of fresh, white blooms all summer. Veronica longifolia ‘First Lady’ flowers emerge over dense, low mounds of thick, weed-suppressing foliage. The nectar-rich blooms open from the base upwards giving a ‘two-toned’ effect. Flowers are magnet for bees and butterflies, whilst other wildlife, such as deer and rabbit, tend to leave alone. Veronica make a long-lasting and intriguing inclusion in floral arrangements, with its decorous spires adding elongated form to a vase. Known commonly as Garden Speedwell and said to be named such because their wildflower cousins seem to wish you good fortune when you see them growing by the roadside as you go on your travels.
