Veronica longifolia ‘First Lady’ flowers emerge over dense, low mounds of thick, weed-suppressing foliage. The nectar-rich blooms open from the base upwards giving a ‘two-toned’ effect. Flowers are magnet for bees and butterflies, whilst other wildlife, such as deer and rabbit, tend to leave alone. Veronica make a long-lasting and intriguing inclusion in floral arrangements, with its decorous spires adding elongated form to a vase.
