Tell Me More...
Blueberries are a well-loved summer fruit and now you can grow blue and pink blueberries for a colourful and tasty edition to the garden. Best grown together for great pollination which results in a bumper crop of juicy berries to eat straight from the bush. Easily grown in patio containers or in the border, alongside other flowering plants loved by the bees will improve yields even further. Blueberries are known to be a vitamin and nutrient packed berry that are wonderful added to breakfasts, desserts or as a healthy snack. Requiring acidic soil for best performance, remember to add ericaceous compost if necessary. Providing three seasons of interest in the garden with glossy green foliage and white flowers which begin to emerge in spring, berries through the summer and then rich orange red foliage in the autumn before they drop their leaves. Hardy perennial. Provide berries with protective netting from cheeky birds.
