This is followed by an abundance of fruit for snacking, adding to puddings or making into delicious jams. Then, as autumn arrives, the foliage of Vaccinium corymbosum 'Early Blue' turns a beautiful shade of red prior to the shrub becoming dormant for the winter and the cycle starting again the following spring.Vaccinium corymbosum 'Early Blue' will happily grow in a container or the ground; making it easy to the acidic (ericaceous) soil needed to thrive. Prefers moist, well-drained in full sun or part shade. A hardy, deciduous perennial which reaches a maximum height of 1.8m with a spread of up to 1m.
