An unusual new arrival for 2024 not to be confused with its tulip cousin, ‘Blue Wow’. This beauty cannot go unnoticed due to its plump and abundant blooms, alongside its unusual and exciting form and colours. Tulipa ‘Wow’ is similar in physicality to Tulipa ‘Ice Cream’ - with a generous dollop of petals to the interior, surrounded by shorter, verdant and creamy toned petals. We think these unusual blooms resemble a cross between a globe artichoke and an ice cream cone - with an added benefit of rich damson purple hues accompanied by white, pale lilac and green. Flowers emerge from April to May and reach a height of around 45cm – perfect for pots, the front of a border or a special vase indoors. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun with any aspect other than north-facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials which should be deadheaded once blooms begin to fade, with foliage retained to die back naturally in order to reinvigorate bulbs fo
