A ‘Double Early’ Tulip which offers generous, semi-double blooms through April and May. Petals emerge in creamy white tones and with outer ones having an almost variegated look to them with vibrant green streaks to the exterior. This, alongside the verdant foliage, creates a fresh and uncluttered impact in both the garden and in a vase for your home. Tulip ‘White Valley’ grows to a maximum height of 45cm with a spread of around 15cm - making it ideal for pots and containers as well as the front of a border or a gravel garden. Tulip bulbs should be planted in mid to late autumn to a depth of 15cm. Locate in well-drained, fertile soil of any type except heavy clay. Provide a sunny aspect which is sheltered from wind and this hardy (H6) bulbous perennial should not need additional protection when it is planted in the ground. Remember to deadhead the faded flowers and leave the foliage to die back naturally in order to replenish bulbs for the following year.
