Tell Me More...
A new arrival for 2024, Tulipa ‘Spring Green’ is a ‘Viridflora variety’ of tulip which flowers between April and May each year. Flowers form open, cup-shapes as they mature from ovoid buds and this particular variety has creamy-white petals with a striking, central, green flare to each. Colours are perfect for romantic, pastel themed planting as well as collaboration with richer tones such as Tulipa ‘Black Hero’ or Tulipa ‘Blue Diamond’. So versatile and admired is Tulipa ‘Spring Green’ that the RHS has given it an Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding performance in the garden. Plant in any fertile, well-drained soil except heavy clay and position in full sun with any aspect other than north facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials which do not need additional winter protection if planted in the ground and reach a maximum height of 40cm, with a spread of 10-15cm.
