Tell Me More...
A fabulously flamboyant new arrival with curly, swirly petals in varied shades of pink, accented by silvery hues on the exterior. Blooms are held on strong stems throughout April and May, floating above unusual glaucous foliage which is edged with ivory hues. So lively are these energetic flowers, you can almost hear them squawking for attention. Plant Tulipa 'Silver Parrot' into containers or add them to borders, gravel gardens and rockeries for a splendid spring performance. Needless to say, they make a fantastic inclusion in a vase too - with the 45cm tall blooms giving a luxurious and opulent impression. As with all tulips, 'Silver Parrot' prefers a spot with well-drained soil in full sun and any aspect other than north facing. These are hardy, bulbous perennials which are drought tolerant once established and spread up to 15cm. Deadhead once flowers are spent and allow foliage to die back naturally before removing.
