New to us for 2024 this is a delicately edged and magical variety of ‘Double Late’ tulip. Tulipa ‘Dream Touch’ has velvety, peony like flowers with each rose-purple petals edged and accented by silvery white – hence the captivating name. Plant with whites or pinks for complementary colours or with darker blues and purples to amplify the intensity. Reaching as tall as 50cm this is a perfect stem to cut for a large vase or bouquet and will happily settle in gravel gardens, herbaceous borders or containers in the garden. Generous to a fault, we think this is a ‘must have’ for tulip lovers. Tulipa ‘Dream Touch’ prefers a spot in fertile, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay and position in full sun with any aspect other than north-facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials which should not need additional winter protection in the ground but may need some
