The blooms of double late variety, Tulipa 'Dazzling Sensation' are so generously packed with petals they almost look peony-like. The flowers are bright magenta pink, each petal frosted with white edges, and appear in late spring (April to May). To add further to its appeal, this variety has striking and unusual, variegated foliage, giving it extra points for all-round interest. 'Dazzling Sensation' is an ideal choice for a sunny border, container display or rock garden. Pair with a soft pink, double variety such as Tulipa 'Angelique' for a harmonious display. Originating from hot, dry habitats, tulips prefer to be grown in fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun or partial shade and shelter from strong winds - excessive wet will not be tolerated. Tulipa 'Dazzling Sensation' will reach a height of around 35-60cm, spreading to 15cm and is a bulbous perennial hardy to around -10 C.
