Tell Me More...
An early flowering Triumph tulip with intense colour. Tulipa 'Crown of Dynasty' is a relatively new introduction to the world of tulips, and cuts quite the striking figure. Flowers are large, mainly pink, merging to white at the base, and are uniquely shaped - with curving and quilled to add a touch of elegance to the form. Strong, sturdy stems are more than capable of withstanding April showers, as well as giving good performance as a cut flower. Perfect for a sunny border or container display. Try pairing with a pale, simple, single cup-shaped variety to see this exquisite variety shine. Fellow early-flowerer Tulipa 'Purissima' fits the bill perfectly. Originating from hot, dry habitats, tulips prefer fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun, with shelter from strong winds. Excessive wet will not be tolerated. Tulipa 'Crown of Dynasty' grows to a height of 50cm with a spread of around 15cm. A hardy, bulbous perennial.
