The burnt orange and bronze petals of Tulip Brown Sugar are not the only thing which make this unique Tulip stand out - it also has a wonderfully sweet scent when it blooms in April and May.Strong upright stems reach a height of up to 45cm when this unusual Tulip blooms, making it excellent for cutting. Leave some foliage attached to the bulb when picking to allow the plant to photosynthesise ready to bloom again the following year.Plant your bulbs in a spot which receives lots of sunlight in October to December at a depth of 15cm in the ground. Tulips grow well in all soil types providing it is well-drained. Add a handful of grit to the planting holes if you garden on heavy clay to help with drainage and ensure bulbs do not rot away and disappear.Looks fabulous in the middle of the border or in containers with other dramatic Tulips and richly coloured spring flowering plants.
