Tulip Blue Diamond is a stunning peony-flowered Tulip in soft, lilac-blue. The colour of these blooms change as they mature from amethyst-pink to pale lavender whilst maintaining their sweetly perfumed aroma.Strong stems reach a height of 45cm when they flower during April and May. Tulip Blue Diamond makes an excellent cut flower, lasting a week or more in the vase where you will be amazed by its transformation of form and colour. Keep the water refreshed and trim the ends of the stems every couple of days to ensure a long vase-life.Plant your bulbs in a spot where they will receive plenty of sunlight, 15cm deep in well-drained soil between October and December. Blue Diamond will thrive either in pots, or in the border and looks great with other spring flowering bulbs such as Narcissi, Fritillaria and a mix of other interesting Tulips.
