Tell Me More...
Astounding and unusual ‘Single Late variety’ of tulip which flowers from April to May each year. The colour of Tulipa ‘Bleu Aimable’ is second to none – with rich, dusky blue-mauve colours to accompany the sumptuously velvety petals which mature to generous cup-shaped blooms. Colours soften as blooms mature and look fantastic planted with darker maroons or pinks in pots, gravel gardens or containers. Stems also add colourful interest inside your home – cut just as buds emerge and they will continue to unfold indoors to the delight of you and your family. New to us for 2024, Tulipa ‘Bleu Aimable’ prefers to be planted in fertile, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay and position in full sun with any aspect other than north facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials which reach a height of 60cm, with a spread of 10-15cm. If planted in the ground, your bulbs should not require any additional winter protection throughout most of the UK.
