Intense, brilliant, vibrant pink, goblet-shaped blooms are held on strong, sturdy purple flushed stems in mid and late spring. Whether in your garden or as a cut flower arrangement, mix with reds and purples for a dynamic display, alternatively Barcelona picks up intriguing tones when complimented by soft pink shades.Tulip Barcelona has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for outstanding performance in the garden.Barcelona is classified as a Triumph Tulip, the largest group and the result of crossing Single Early and Darwin varieties. Known for being particularly weather resistant, Triumph tulips are able to withstand wind and rain.Tulips are versatile and happy in borders and containers. Plant Tulip bulbs in the autumn, around 15cm deep in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Tulip Barcelona grows to an approximate height of 60cm and is a hardy bulbous perennial to enjoy for years to come.
