With its huge goblets of salmon pink Tulip 'Apricot Impression' is sure to cause a stir in the spring garden. Strong straight stems will reach up to 55cm tall, making these tulips perfect for the middle of the border. Flowers are borne in April and May - allowing their beauty to shine out amongst other spring flowering bulbs, or plants such as hardy geraniums and wallflowers. The long stems of Tulip 'Apricot Impression' are wonderful for cutting and adding to floral arrangements. Cut just as the buds begin to open to ensure the longest vase life and be sure to leave some foliage on the plant to photosynthesise ready for next year's display.Plant your bulbs between October and December in a spot which receives full sun and has free-draining soil. If you garden on clay soil, then add some horticultural grit to the planting holes to aid drainage. Deadhead flowers once they fade and allow foliage to die back naturally prior to removal.
