A deep purple-red tulip with a rounded top and deeper 'beetroot' purple veins - this is a stunning addition to the Triumph species of tulips. Tulip Negrita is a single, cup-shaped bloom with a sturdy stem which will grow to a height of 50cm, making it ideal as a cut flower. Preferring a moist, well-drained growing medium Tulip Negrita should be planted in Autumn/Winter to a depth of 15cm ready for it to flower in the following April. Tulip Negrita prefers a sunny, sheltered site and is also suited to container planting, either with other tulip varieties or Spring bedding for an explosion of colour. Why not pick up on the cooler hues within the blooms and companion plant with blue toned bedding or jazz it up with some warmer oranges and reds to give your Spring garden some real pizzazz!
