Warm weather and better times are heralded by the arrival of the tulip. Tulip bulbs are planted in the autumn before the ground freezes, though planting in containers in January and February can still bring blooms. Spiced Pumpkin Collection is made up of: Tulip 'Jan Reus' - long-flowering, gorgeous deep-red flowers in a classic tulip shape and sturdy stems; Tulip 'Apricot Beauty' - Silver-white on the outside, apricot on the inside with lime hints running along the centre of each petal, beautiful; Tulip 'National Velvet' - glossy deep red flowers, tall stems, perfect for cutting and an elegant shape; Tulip 'Caf Noir' - near black in colour, looks amazing with pinks and creams as a contrast; Tulip 'Havran' - petals feel silky to the touch and a gorgeous, iridescent plum colour. Plant Spiced Pumpkin Collection in well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Hardy bulbous perennials which range in height from 45-60cm and spread up to 15cm. Deadhead blooms once flowers fade and allow foliage to die back naturally.
