Tell Me More...
Tulip Queen of the Night is an enduringly popular single late variety of tulip. Queen of the Night is an intensely deep purple-red (almost black) tulip with cup shaped blooms which really pack a clout in the garden. Their versatile colour means that they can be used with almost any other colour combination to warm up or cool down a planting scheme dependent on your garden's needs. Blooms reach a height of 60cm and are carried on straight sturdy stems for which this variety is renowned - a feature which makes Tulip Queen of the Night an ideal cut flower. Plant in Autumn at a depth of 15cm in a fertile but well drained soil in part or full sun for flowering the following April-May. This tulip is a national favourite for good reason and once you have planted it you will be in awe of its striking colour and sturdy resilience.
