Dwarf tulip 'Orange Toronto' is a member of the Greigii group, a division of tulips notable for their short stature and attractive broad, wavy, mottled leaves. 'Orange Toronto' is an unusual, multi-flowered variety, each stem bearing 3-5 blooms. Flowers are single bowl-shapes with pointed petals, in a warm, coral orange. This bold, diminutive delight is best seen in groups at the front of a border, in a natural drift throughout a rock garden, or as part of a spring-interest container display. Due to its short height, 'Orange Toronto' can withstand a little more exposure to wind than taller tulip varieties. Early to flower, from March/ April. Originating from hot, dry habitats, tulips prefer fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun. Excessive wet will not be tolerated. H&S: 20cm x 15cm. Hardy bulbous perennial.
