Tell Me More...
An extraordinary tulip is that of Tulip 'New Design' with tri coloured petals and variegated foliage meaning this variety brings interest and appeal even before the flower heads emerge. Soft pink petal edges with a central line of yellow/green fading to white gives the gardener lots of options as to where and what to accompany Tulip New Design with. We suggest wither growing in drifts alone or pairing with white or yellow varieties such as Tulip Honeymoon or Tulip Sunny Prince to allow for Tulip New Design to be complemented in the trio. As with all triumph varieties this cultivar has a strong weather resistant stem and the sleek cup shaped flower head that we recognise of tulips. Perfect to grow for cutting in addition to growing in the garden. Plant in the autumn for flowering in the late spring. Tulip New Design prefers full sun but will perform in semi shade.
