A stunning Fringed variety of Tulip with generous double blooms which give it a peony-like impact on top of the serrated edges. Tulipa 'Mascotte' blooms in May and offers richly rippled raspberry pink flowers with silvery tips. Even better - the colours shift and change slightly as the flowers mature for a gently animated display. Add these intriguing tulips to borders, rockeries, gravel gardens and lawns either in 'en masse' swathes or mixed with other berry tones to give a tapestry of colour to your planting. Flowers also have a long vase life so are an excellent choice for vases and bouquets.Tulipa 'Mascotte, like all tulips, prefers well-drained soil in full sun, although may tolerate some shade. Plant in autumn, three times deeper than the height of the actual bulb, in a site with a south or east facing aspect. A hardy, bulbous perennial which is drought tolerant once established and grows to a height of 40cm and spreads up to 15cm.
