Tell Me More...
The opulence of Tulipa Jan Reus' rich cherry crimson flowers makes this variety a 'must have' for your autumn planting shopping list. One of the earliest flowering amongst the deep coloured Triumph varieties, thus ensuring good longevity for the flowering season. Coupled with its reliability as a repeat bloomer in subsequent years this makes Tulipa 'Jan Reus' excellent value for money. With all the usual Triumph variety attributes, including classic tulip shape, excellent weather resistance and strong stems, ideal for cutting - this is a 60cm tall bloom that should not be missed and is wonderful planted in drifts as a single variety where the deep hues really stand out against the green of spring foliage. Alternatively, plant together with Tulip 'Jimmy' or Tulip 'La Belle Epoque' for a harmonious planting combination.Prefers well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. A hardly bulbous perennial which is drought tolerant once established.
