An exciting new Darwin Hybrid tulip for our range. Tulipa ‘Gudoshnik’ offers abundant double blooms in gorgeously fiery shades from April to May each year. Stems are tall and stand like a glorious firework display in borders, rockeries and containers. The added wow factor to these is that no two blooms emerge the same – each has red and yellow tones in different quantities, some are mottled, some striped and others are edged with accents of contrasting colour, fading to ember hues as the flowers mature. What’s more the tight buds unfurl to give a peony-like double flower that is long-lasting, both in a vase and in the ground. Tulipa ‘Gudoshnik’ prefers a site with well-drained soil in full sun which benefits from a south or east facing aspect. A hardy, bulbous perennial which is drought tolerant once established and reaches a height of 55cm, with a spread of up to 15cm.
