Tell Me More...
Tulipa 'Green River' is a 'Viridiflora' variety which is, like others of this kind, known for their impressively long flowering period and long-lasting flowers. Not only is this quality beneficial in the ground it also makes them perfect as cut flowers too.Showy and vibrant, each bloom boasts tones of apricot, yellow, pink and orange which are delicately 'flashed' by a stripe of rich, fern green; each bloom is different to its neighbour bringing variation to your displays.Tulipa 'Green River' blooms in April and May, having been planted the previous autumn. Plant bulbs 15cm deep in well-drained, fertile soil which benefits from full sun, away from strong winds. A hardy, bulbous perennial which will reach a height of around 35cm. Allow foliage to die back naturally to reinvigorate the bulb ready for flowering in the following spring.
