Tulip Flaming Evita is a Peony-type Double Early Tulip which offers early spring colour in your garden. The double petals are delicately tinged with green and yellow flame-like markings. These create luxurious ruffles of blooms which are very attractive as cut flowers. The green foliage contrasts perfectly with the gorgeous blooms. Growing to a height of 35cm (14") and spread of 10cm (4"), Flaming Evita would be perfect planted as a swathe of 10-15 bulbs, or alongside a contrasting colour bloom. Tulip bulbs should be planted to a depth of 15cm in well-drained, fertile soil. Tulips prefer a sunny aspect which is sheltered from wind. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has designated Tulip Flaming Evita as H6 hardy and awarded it the Plants for Pollinators Award. When blooms have faded, deadhead them and remove yellowed stems after a few weeks to enable bulbs to grow new blooms the following year.
