An exciting and unusual tulip with textured petals as well as an intensity of colour that will make your pots and borders truly stand out in spring. The intriguingly shaped Tulip 'Crown of Negrita' blooms in April to May each year with flowers standing up to 50cm tall, making them perfect as cut flowers for a vase or floral bouquet.A newcomer to us, this exuberant bloom is sure to become a favourite and will look fantastic planted alongside other tulips or paired with irises, daffodils and hyacinths for an eclectic and royally resplendent display. Tulipa 'Crown of Negrita' prefers a site which benefits from well-drained soil in full sun with a south or wet facing aspect. A fully hardy, bulbous perennial which should be deadheaded once flowers fade to prevent energy being transferred to seed production. Furthermore, allow the verdant, strap-shaped foliage to die back before removal as this revitalises bulbs for flowering the following year.
