Belonging to the Parrot group of tulips, the wonderfully raucous Tulipa 'Amazing Parrot' has vivid pink flowers flushed with golden, apricot-orange. Parrot tulips are among the last to flower (late spring) and are notable for their large cup-shaped flowers with fringed petals, as well as impressive height. On a sunny day, flowers will open almost flat, revealing their interior magnificence in its full glory. Pair with other parrot varieties for a loud, flamboyant display, such as the deep red 'Black Parrot', and the cream and green 'White Parrot'. Originating from hot, dry habitats, tulips prefer fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun. With taller varieties such as 'Amazing Parrot', it is important to provide shelter from strong winds. Excessive wet will not be tolerated. H&S: 60cm x 15cm. Hardy bulbous perennial.
