In April and May, these ‘double late’ Tulip varieties showcase large, peony shaped blooms on strong stems, just perfect for borders and containers. Much loved by florists they also make long-lasting and impressive inclusions in floral displays. This ‘Trusty Tulip Collection’ comprises; ‘Sunlover – shades of golden yellow with red-orange striations, the colour intensifies to orange with age, height 40cm; ‘Dream Touch’ – velvety, peony shaped, rose-purple blooms, each petal is edged by silvery white, height 50cm; and ‘Wow’ – densely double blooms, the outer petals are pale purple with green streaks, the centre petals are rich violet purple, height 45cm. Plant the ‘Trusty Tulip Collection’ into fertile, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay and position in full sun with any aspect other than north-facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials which should not need any additional protection if planted in the ground but may need some if in pots or other containers, depending upon where you are located in the UK.
