A hardy variety prized for its neat, clump-forming habit, Tradescantia 'Pink Chablis' bears bright pink flowers with delicate white edges and charming, fluffy magenta filaments protruding from the centre. Narrow, arching, slightly fleshy evergreen leaves form a neat, dense thicket, nestled among which are the distinctive, open, three-petaled flowers. Masses of short-lived flowers are borne in succession from late spring to late summer, each said to last just one day. Spent flowers are shed naturally (also referred to as 'self-cleaning'), meaning there is no need for deadheading. Tolerant of a range of conditions, this hardy tradescantia is an easy way to achieve year-round structure and summer colour in beds, borders, and containers. Prefer moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. H&S: 75cm x 60cm. Hardy, evergreen perennial.
