Providing height in your garden and drawing the eye upwards, Thunbergia alata 'SunEyes White' is a vigorous climber which will eagerly cover an obelisk, fence, wall or trellis. Blooming from spring through to autumn, a profusion of crisp white stunningly simple blooms, festoon the lush green foliage. A versatile plant which will trail from hanging baskets almost to ground level and, if grown in the ground and left to sprawl, create dense mats of groundcover for excellent moisture-retaining weed suppression.Native to eastern Africa, Thunbergia alata 'SunEyes White' is also known as Black-eyed Susan Vine. This common name is thought to have come from a character in traditional ballads who searched for her long-lost lover, a gentleman named sweet William. Thunbergia alata 'SunEyes White' prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Reaching a mature height of 2.4m, it is a tender perennial which will need frost protection during the cold winter period.
