Tell Me More...
This is a wonderfully dependable and long-lasting thalictrum which offers masses of fluffy flowerheads, held on strong dark stems from May through to July each year. Foliage emerges in April and is retained through to the first frosts bringing aquilegia-like charm to the mid-tier of a border or in a specially chosen container. An easy-going plant which will reward you with beautiful blooms for very little attention. Cut them for the vase or floral displays and they will add long-lasting froth and hazy beauty here too.Often thought of as a cottage garden favourite, thalictrum look equally fabulous in most planting schemes. Said to be named after Thalia, one of the nine Greek patrons of comedy, known as Muses, the names are possibly linked because of the willowy and elegant charm these plants bring to your planting.Thalictrum aquilegifolium 'Nimbus White' will not only draw in admiring eyes; pollinators will also find flowers irresistible. Plants prefer moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. Hardy, herbaceous perennials which reach an approximate height of 70cm with a spread of 40cm.
