Tell Me More...
The Tantalizingly Textured Collection consists of three varieties which have elaborate frilled trumpets, offering a flamboyant, eye-catching, and interesting display at the centre of the daffodil. Collection comprises; Narcissus 'Blazing Starlet' - bright sunlight yellow petals surround a large, ruffled, orange-red trumpet, height 45cm; Narcissus 'Exotic Mystery' - a ruffled primrose-yellow split corona lies flat against the reflexed petals, height 30-40cm; and Narcissus 'Trepolo' - fabulous and fragrant, known as the Butterfly Daffodil, open, split trumpets are swirled creamy-white and mango, surrounded by ivory petals, height 50cm.We all love our 'daffs' and those familiar trumpet-shaped flowers in spring. Seeing your daffodils bloom is the first sign winter is releasing its icy grip and good times are here.Narcissi make brilliant cut flowers, easily lasting up to a week in the vase. Allow cut stems to condition in water overnight if adding to other blooms as their stems leak a sap which can be toxic to other flowers.Plant your hardy bulbs in autumn, in a sunny spot on well-drained soil at a depth of 12cm for a glorious display next spring.
