As beautiful as the woven fabric once reserved for ornamental garments, Symphyotrichum novi-belgii ‘Crimson Brocade’ is an autumnal centrepiece in any garden. Symphyotrichum hide away in borders, letting others take centre stage for a while. Then, in the last days of summer, they burst into a frenzy of floriferous activity.
