Tell Me More...
A taller variety of aster, with a looser, mound-forming habit. Foliage emerges in April and is retained through to November time. From September stems of abundant, pink daisy-like flowers are borne along with the foliage - adding sumptuous colour at a time when many plants are fading into winter. Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Kylie' also offers a late supply of nectar to visiting pollinators and makes a fantastic inclusion in a vase or other floral arrangement. An ideal way of adding colour to borders and containers, often lasting well into winter if you are located in a milder part of the UK.Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Kylie' prefers a spot which has moist, well-drained soil and benefits from full sun or partial shade. A fully hardy, herbaceous perennial which does not need winter protection and reaches a height of up to 1.3m with a spread of 90cm.
